Welcome to the SWBGS Parents Association website. The content is primarily written for current and prospective parents/guardians of pupils at the school, but all visitors to this site are most welcome to browse.
The school has both an active and energetic Parents’ Association, whose aim is to support the school – whether financially and/or practically - in furthering the education and development of our children.
We meet twice a term, and organise a number of events during the year to which all parents are invited; some events raise funds, and some enable parents to better acquaint themselves with each other and the school. We have a newsletter which reports on everything we’ve done and the activities we’re planning. Naturally we’re always open to suggestions and offers of practical help.
The fundraising is for the benefit of our children, and each year we will decide in advance those particular project or items for which it is intended. All parents will know precisely what their support for the PA’s activities will bring for our students.
This website contains more information about future and past fundraising events and activities, the committee itself, and also holds past newsletters. Most importantly, it will enable yourselves to contact us, either with suggestions as to what else you think we can do, or even better, to offer to join the PA or help at events. We welcome your contributions of whichever variety.
